Why choose an OTTY Hybrid mattress?

Hybrid mattresses use a combination of springs and foam to create both support from the pocket springs and comfort from the foam. The top layer combines temperature regulating memory foam, keeping you at the optimum temperature in the depths of winter or on a sultry summer night.

Our Original Hybrid mattress contains 56% spring to 44% foam, we know the OTTY will give you the best support and comfort, helping those with ailments or health issues.

Our 14cm pocket springs help to provide maximum airflow, dissipating excess heat and regulating your temperature. This eliminates the likelihood of overheating, which is common with traditional memory foam products.

All OTTY foam is CentiPUR and Europur approved, meaning that both the quality and toxicity of the foam have been tested time and time again and pass the highest standards set by the governing body.

FIRA is the UK’s designated testing house for BS7177 Fire Hazard testing which all furniture products must go through. All OTTY products are fully compliant with the UK fire regulations.

Deeper springs. More Support.

The OTTY Hybrid mattress has 2,000 14cm-tall encapsulated pocket springs for the best support.

Taller springs offer more support than the small 2cm springs used by our competitors, and ultimately make the difference on how well the mattress cradles your back and joints throughout the night.

The Perfect Level of Support

Like Goldilocks, we think our hybrid mattress is just right, as it provides the perfect amount of support for your neck, shoulders and hips, while offering the best comfort to help you get to the land of nod for the sweetest of dreams. If the OTTY is too firm or too soft, you can return it to us within the 100-night trial.

On a firmness scale of 1-10, we’d rate the OTTY Hybrid at 7.

If, for whatever reason, it’s not working out with your OTTY, we’ll arrange a free collection and offer you a full refund. Our delivery team will pop round at a convenient time and collect the mattress – giving you a hassle and stress-free return.

The Otty is the best hybrid mattress we’ve ever tested

Deal alert: Save up to 43% this Easter Weekend

Otty is one of the less well-known companies in the UK’s crowded bed-in-a-box market, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s inferior.

The company’s CEO, Michal Szlas, set up Otty in 2016 because there were no mattresses he liked that didn’t cost a small fortune. Specifically, he felt most memory foam mattresses were too warm and that inexpensive pocket sprung mattresses didn’t offer high enough levels of comfort.

The Otty mattress delivers emphatically in overcoming both of those problems and it’s competitively priced, too, making it my favourite bed-in-a-box mattress.

Otty Mattress review: What you need to know

Although the company is based in the UK, Otty’s mattress is manufactured in China. Like the Simba Hybrid and Eve Hybrid mattresses, it’s a hybrid, which means it’s made from a combination of pocket springs and foam.

The top layer is 30mm of Otty’s “cool blue gel” memory foam, which helps prevent the heat from building up. Below this is another 30mm of “reflex” foam that relieves pressure points when you sleep.

At its core, though, the Otty mattress has 2,000 (in king size) pocket springs, which make up 140mm of its depth. That’s significantly more spring than you find in the Eve Hybrid or Simba Hybrid, which have 90mm and 20mm coils respectively. Finally, there’s a 50mm high-density foam base, which acts as a solid foundation for the mattress.

Otty Mattress review: Price and competition

The Otty mattress costs £600 in king size and is available in all UK sizes from single (£350) to emperor (£750), along with EU single, double and king sizes. That’s a near identical pricing structure to the Eve Hybrid, which has had a £50 bump in price across all its sizes since it first launched.

Otty’s other main rival, the Simba Hybrid, will set you back £750 in king size, which is the same price as the all-foam Leesa and a little more than Casper’s mattress, which is also all-foam and costs £700.

If you’re after a more traditional pocket-sprung mattress with natural fillings, you won’t find much that can compete with Otty in terms of value for money, but John Lewis’ Natural Collection Hemp 4000 should give you a good point of comparison.

OTTY 2000 Pocket Spring, Memory Foam & Cool Blue Gel Combined Mattress King – (150x200x25cm)

Otty Mattress review: Features

Unlike some bed-in-a-box mattresses, which lack edge support, another of the Otty’s key selling points is a strong foam side support that aims to increase the amount of usable sleeping space by as much as 25%. This structure is perforated so that air can still reach all areas of the mattress, and help you stay cool when sleeping.

In total, the Otty is 250mm deep, which means it’ll take standard fitted sheets. The company recommends you use a mattress protector, but another key benefit Otty boasts over most of its competitors is that it has a fully removable, machine washable cover.

The mattress works on all types of bed base including a solid platform, adjustable base, and solid or sprung slats, and to improve its longevity (and voiding the warranty), you should rotate it once a month for the first six months.

Although the Otty mattress has a 100-night money-back trial – during which the company will collect it for free if you don’t like it – you can try lying on one at the company’s Leeds showroom or at a select few Next Home stores before parting with your hard-earned cash.

The mattress is suitable for those weighing up 138kg (per person) and its warranty covers it against manufacturing defects for up to ten years.

Otty Mattress review: Performance and comfort

Considering it has large, 140mm springs and firm side supports, the first thing that struck me about the Otty mattress was how small it compresses down when it’s vacuum packed.

The only other bed-in-a-box mattress we’ve tested with comparably long springs – the Eve Hybrid – packs down just as small but measures only 180mm deep once fully expanded, which is 70mm thinner than the Otty.

As with all bed-in-a-box mattresses, the first step before you can sleep on your new Otty mattress is to slide it out of its cardboard box and slit open its large polythene bag so it can expand fully. Otty says it takes around four hours before the mattress is ready to lie on but that it can take some time longer to reach its intended shape.

This means you’ll have no problems using the mattress the same day it’s delivered, should you need to. The only downside is that, during this period, like most memory foam mattresses it does smell a bit. It’s by no means unbearable but, if you can, it’s best to give the mattress a few days airing out to allow the odour to subside.

When it came to lying on the mattress for the first time, I was taken back at just how comfortable it was. Where most bed-in-a-box mattresses do a perfectly good job of combining firm, supportive foundations with soft comfort layers, the Otty just seemed to do it that little bit better.

Before elaborating, I should add that I’m partial to a firm mattress, and the Otty’s combination of different layers provide a feel that’s definitely at the firmer end of what I’ve experienced from all-foam and hybrid mattresses: perhaps 7.5 or 8 out of 10.

Despite having 2,000 140mm pocket springs, what makes the Otty mattress feel so comfortable is that it’s not obviously sprung. While I could feel the springs when pushing down on the mattress shortly after unpacking it, this simply wasn’t the case when I laid on it.

There’s definitely more bounce than you get from Simba’s small, 20mm conical springs, but Otty’s coils offer a more subtle sensation than the Eve Hybrid. I’m not sure if that’s because it has two layers of foam (the Eve Hybrid has one comfort layer over a firmer, robust casing) or because it has more, lower diameter springs, but the overall feel is akin to lying on a luxury pocket sprung mattress, where you feel superbly supported without being able to pick out the different layers you’re lying on.

The mattress’ firmness does mean it’s probably better suited to heavier people who like to sleep on their backs, but I was comfortable on my side and front too, with the comfort layers compressing enough to prevent pressure points but not so much that I felt my hips were sinking.

What’s more, the mattress’ 250mm depth and solid-foam foundation mean it should work well on any type of bed. With some thinner mattresses, the yielding nature of a sprung slatted base can result in a drastically different level of support when compared to a solid platform but, having tested the Otty on both the floor and a sprung slatted bedstead, I can confirm the differences are fairly subtle.

Where the Otty mattress truly excelled, though, was temperature control. All-foam mattresses are normally noticeably warmer than sprung varieties, and even hybrid mattress can suffer from similar properties if they have foam top layers. Otty’s mattress stands apart, though and its “Cool Blue Gel” memory foam layer kept me cool and sweat-free during several nights of a recent heatwave.

I’d go as far as saying it’s the one synthetic mattress I’ve tested that can rival a traditional pocket sprung mattress with natural fillings for temperature-related comfort. Like some of its rivals, the comfort layers of the Otty mattress do feel a little softer when you get up in the morning than when you get into bed but the underlying foundation of pocket springs meant I always felt adequately supported.

Otty Mattress review: Verdict

There are so many big bed-in-a-box brands to choose from, and it’s easy to be tempted into thinking bigger names have got where they are by making better products but that’s clearly not always the case.

The Otty mattress is one of the best, if not the best hybrid mattress, we’ve tested to date because it provides outstanding support, comfort and temperature control at a highly competitive price.

Mattresses preference is a very personal thing and, if you don’t like a firm bed, then you should probably give Otty a miss. Otherwise, it’s difficult to pick out any other mattress that offers everything the Otty does at such a low price. Moreover, it has a 100-day money back guarantee, so even if you disagree, you won’t be out of pocket as a result.

OTTY Mattress Review

Last Updated on April 6, 2020

Thanks for checking out my OTTY mattress review. I hope you will find it helpful. The full review follows below. Alternatively, you can check all my other mattress reviewshere.

The OTTY Mattress is a fairly new entrant in the UK market following the path of other ‘mattress in a box’ propositions. It is ahybrid mattress, so you should expect both memory foam and pocket springs. It features a relatively ‘young’ design but also some top-notch specs. Their main selling point is the pricing of theOTTY mattresswhich is significantly lower than other hybrid mattresses. That is happening without sacrificing anything in the quality of their offering. For this reason, I was really tempted to try this new entrant so I finally got mine about 3 weeks ago and below is my review.

OTTY Mattress

Details

MATERIALS

OTTYis made of a total of 4 layers plus the mattress cover. The 4 layers are the following:

  • Top Layer:A 3cm Cool Blue Gel memory foam layer which is designed by OTTY and keeps the mattress in the right temperature during sleep.
  • Middle Layer:A 3cm memory foam layer which is great for pressure relief.
  • Middle Layer:A 14cm layer consisting of 2000 capsule springs which adjust to your body weight while you are in bed.
  • Bottom Layer:A 5cm high-density foam base layer which keeps the mattress all together and works as the base of the mattress.

The total thickness of the mattress is 25cm which is about the average for any modern hybrid mattresses. The mattress is very well made and it is a very solid construction.

COVER

The cover feels very nice and is made of high-quality materials. The surface’s design allows the mattress to breathe which is very important. Thecover is removable and you can machine wash itin low temperature. The design of the cover features dark grey sides and it looks like is geared towards a younger age. I personally think that other mattresses have a better cover design. However, we mostly have the mattress covered in sheets so the design should not be that important. Overall, the cover does the job; It allows airflow and feels nice so all good here.

FIRMNESS & COMFORT

TheOTTY mattressfeels like a medium to firm mattress which is what most people prefer. It seems that all these mattresses come with pretty much the same firmness level to cover most people’s needs. So as usual, if we put this to a firmness scale, with 10 being very firm, I would say that the OTTY mattress is a 6.7. That means that it is ideal for those who like their mattress to be slightly firmer than the average mattress. I am going to talk now about the three main sleeping positions and what I have experienced with this mattress.

Starting from the back position, I felt nice support and the ‘hugging’ effect of the memory foam which was great. I was expecting a bit more bounce from the springs but the feeling wasn’t too strong. If I didn’t know, I would assume it’s a memory foam mattress but the overall support felt great.

Turning to the side position, I felt that the mattress maintained its shape and sinkage was ideal which is what I wanted. The low sinkage kept my spine well aligned and my side bones didn’t hurt at all. It’s usual with some firm mattresses to experience mild pain. However, the OTTY mattress was as soft as it needed to be to provide me with the comfort I needed. Overall, I believe that OTTY did really well in the side position.

When I turned to my favourite position (stomach sleeper) I felt good support and an optimal body sinkage which made me feel very comfortable. My hips were positioned not too high so my lower back didn’t feel uncomfortable. The mattress managed my weight well when moving around which is something that is really important for me as I share my bed with my girlfriend.

I tend to sleep near the edge of the mattress and I must admit the support seems to exist in every inch of it due to its solid construction. Overall, I felt that the OTTY mattress provided me with good support and spine alignment in all three sleeping positions. It’s not as bouncy as other hybrid mattresses but I think the springs do a very good job distributing the weight, which is an important element of any mattress.

BED TYPE COMPATIBILITY

You can place yourOTTY mattresson any flat surface so you can use a slatted base, a flat platform or a divan. As always, make sure that if you use a slatted base, there are enough slats to properly support the mattress. You can also put it directly on your floor if you like it this way. I personally would never, put my mattress on the floor but trust me it is an excellent surface for such use. The mattress can be ordered in a number of sizes, including EU sizes, so you shouldn’t worry about finding the one that fits your current frame.

DELIVERY & PACKAGING

TheOTTY mattressis delivered in a beautiful carton box by UPS. The size of the box is 45cm x 45cm x 150cm. They offer aFree Next Day delivery servicefor all sizes providing you order your mattress before 3 pm. They also offer a Saturday Delivery but this will cost you an extra £30. The service was great and the courier helped me place the mattress in my bedroom. Overall, OTTY offered a fantastic service and I have no complaints, how could I?

TRIAL PERIOD & GUARANTEE

TheOTTY mattresscomes with a great guarantee which is actually 10 years! That means that you should not worry about anything as the company has you covered. This is something that we see from other companies likeEmmaandSimbawhich is great for all the consumers. OTTY also comes with a100 night trial periodwhich is another great feature of this mattress. That means that if you are not satisfied with your purchase then you have 100 days to return it. Returns are free and they will come to pick up the mattress directly from your home. All you have to do is talk to their customer service department and they will arrange anything for you. Overall, OTTY offers great customer service here.

MATTRESS PRICING

As I have mentioned in the intro of this OTTY mattress review, pricing is the main selling point of this company. Like most of these companies, OTTY have followed the direct-to-consumer approach which means that there is a great benefit for all consumers. On top, they have decided to slice even more the prices so they offer a mattress with the latest technology in really competitive prices. The mattresses are available in many sizes so you can find the one that suits your needs. The UK single one starts from £349 with the Super King selling for £649. The full pricing list follows below.

IS THE OTTY MATTRESS FOR ME?

Finishing another review, it’s always the difficult time of the verdict. But obviously, you want to hear my honest opinion about each mattress I review. As usual, I am going to give you the main reasons you should get OTTY. A great choice for everyone who is looking for:

  • A hybrid mattress that is one of thebest ‘value for money’options in the market which features all the latest technology high-quality materials.
  • A mattress which feelsmedium to firmand has a unique ability to remain cool even during the warmest nights.
  • A mattress thatcomes with great customer service and support.

If you are looking for a good hybrid mattress, and you don’t want to break the bank, then theOTTY Mattressshould be definitely in your consideration list. It’s a nice addition to the UK market and I think that their proposition is great considering the selling price.

Otty Mattress Review

Welcome to my Otty mattress review – the first on my UK mattress reviews list. (see the full list of reviewed mattresses here).

Here you will find my in depth review of how I found the Otty mattress, and an analysis of its qualities and features – but first, a brief bit of background on the Otty Sleep brand.

The Otty in a box mattress is a new entrant into the ever-broadening mattress-in-a-box and sleep space. It consists of both memory foam and coils, and is looking to directly compete with the likes of Simba through its hybrid construction. The founder of Otty Sleep, Michal, understood the importance of a good night’s sleep when he was looking to balance a healthy and active lifestyle with quality rest. However, like most of us, he found it difficult to find a mattress that suited both his personal comforts and expectations – so decided to go about creating the Otty mattress.

I was delighted to get the chance to review one, so without further ado let’s dive into my Otty mattress review.

Construction

The Otty mattress instantly differs to many of its competitors by offering a hybrid setup comprising 5 innovative layers of structurally responsive memory foam and springs. They all complement one another very well to offer maximum support and comfort.

The Otty Mattress is 25cm in depth, and the layers break down to the below:

  1. Otty Cool Blue Gel– 3cm – This is their flagship technology which accelerates air circulation and provides a cooler night sleep. This is the layer that is closest to your body so helps regulate body temperature. You could say that it’s a cool memory foam mattress.
  2. 2. Otty Tech luxurious foam– 3cm – This is a pressure relieving base foam which allows for an improved sleeping posture.
  3. 2000 Pocket Springs– 14cm – These offer optimal support and help eliminate motion disturbance, perfect for a better night’s sleep.
  4. Otty Air Flow System– This is wrapped around the pocket springs and allows for maximum air flow through carefully crafted air vents.
  5. High Density Foam– 5cm – The base layer offers sturdy support and a base for the rest of the layers.

The Otty Mattress has 5 layer engineered to work in harmony together

The unique layering of the Otty mattress foam helps to minimises the build up of heat when sleeping. The holes in the top layer and air flow system allows air to circulate through the mattress freely, channelling warm air away from the sleeper. Otty label their cool blue gel as ‘thermostatic cushioning which actively responds to your natural body temperature throughout the night without compromising on comfort’. For those that sleep hot, this is a great solution!

Firmness, Comfort, & Support

If you like your mattress to be medium to firm then the Otty mattress is ideal for you, ranking a 7.5/10 on the firmness scale. I would say it provides decent spine support and protection, making it suitable for most sleeping positions.

I tried all three main sleeping positions (I am a back sleeper myself) for sleeping on the Otty mattress – below is how I found each one:

Back Sleeper– Being a hybrid, the Otty mattress offers springiness and the support of a traditional memory foam mattress. I was able to feel the bounce of the springs through my spine, but this was perfectly offset by the top memory foam layers. They comfortably moulded around the base of my spine for maximum lower back support whilst applying pressure on my shoulders and neck.

Side Sleeper– Sinkage was minimal here. I must admit that I am not a side sleeper but am aware that hips and shoulders get the brunt of the pressure when you are a side sleeper – and on the Otty mattress I could feel decent support on my neck and waist.

Stomach Sleeper– I found sleeping on my stomach to be less comfortable than the other two positions, as it is a firm mattress which seems suited to increased pressure points.

Overall it is hard to find much fault with the sinkage and support of the Otty mattress, as it has a strong and firm edge support which is suited to most types of sleepers – though I recommend it most if you tend to sleep on your back or side.

Pricing

Otty mattress are another company who cut out the middle man allowing you to purchase directly from them, the manufacturer – which equals a cheaper mattress for you, the consumer.

Their pricing starts at £299.99 for a single and finishes at £649.99 for a Super King. For a hybrid this is very reasonable in my opinion. Below is a full breakdown of all of their mattress sizes and prices:

SizePrice
UK Small Double£399.99
UK Single£299.99
UK King£549.99
UK Double£449.99
Super King£649.99
EU King£599.99
EU Double£499.99

Delivery, Unboxing, Trial, & Warranty

The OTTY mattress delivery follows the traditional pattern of most new start-up mattress companies and arrives at your door vacuum packed and rolled into a box. They offer free delivery anywhere in the UK and promise next day delivery for all orders before 3pm, as well as having the option to choose an alternative delivery date. Weekend delivery will only cost you £30 but I would advise taking full advantage of their weekday service as this is the cheapest option.

The Otty mattress delivery process is quick and easy

Something that I also noticed was their 2-man delivery service which is perfect for customers who might have difficulty carrying and unpacking such a heavy item. At an extra cost, 2 people deliver and bring the mattress into any room in you. There is also availability of getting them to take the mattress out of the box for you, a great idea to help those who might struggle otherwise!

They offer a 100 night trial so you can return the mattress if you are not 100% satisfied with it. A quick chat with their customer service should get this process started with minimal effort. They also offer a standard 10-year warranty.

I did find that the mattress had a slight smell upon getting it out the box, but this disappeared fairly quickly as I had the bedroom window open – and it was totally gone after two days.

Is the Otty mattress right for you?

The amount of thought that has gone into the Otty Mattress is very impressive – most companies pull together materials and layers that other companies use, but Otty have designed their own layers to create a very impressive hybrid mattress. Combined with the 10-year warranty and the delivery options, I think that Otty Sleep should be viewed as a real contender in the mattress in a box market, despite their relative youth in the industry.

The big question though, as ever, is who is the Otty mattress best for?

I would recommend the Otty mattress to sleepers if:

You love a hybrid– You aren’t comfortable with a 100% memory foam mattress.

You need cool– You are a hot sleeper and want a mattress which adapts to your core body temperature and disperses heat away from your sleeping position.

Value– This has to be one of the best ‘value for money’ options in the market, especially when you consider the quality of materials and craftsmanship.

You like medium firmness– the Otty strikes a medium firm balance (7.5/10) and has strong edge support.

Home grown– A mattress that has been developed, tested and designed in the UK.

Otty Sleep’s proposition is fairly unique in the market, their prices are good for the high quality materials that they have developed, and most importantly of all – their mattress is extremely comfortable. Be sure to check out our Otty pillow review if you are looking to complete the set.

OTTY Mattress Review

For this OTTY mattress review, we look at what makes this value-option such a versatile mattress here in the UK. This is also one of the most affordable online mattresses we have reviewed.

OTTY Mattress Construction

We will start off this OTTY Hybrid mattress review by saying that it is a hybrid mattress utilising springs and foam and ishypoallergenic. This means it is a low hazard to those who are prone to allergies, it’s very unlikely to cause an allergic reaction. The OTTY mattress is also Certipur and Europur certified. This is a voluntary testing, certification programme for the environment, health and safety properties of polyurethane foam used in bedding and upholstered furniture applications.

The OTTY mattress also stands out compared to the abundant online mattress out there with its unique4-layer design + side layer. P.S. if you looking for a foam only mattress, take a browse through our OTTY Flex mattress review.

OTTY Mattress Cover

The OTTY cover is made from 97% polyester and 3% spandex. Polyester is a very durable material that is also flexible and resistant to wrinkles and shrinkage.

The OTTY mattress cover isremovable and machine washable. The cover can easily be removed by simply unzipping it. The top and bottom part of the cover can be disconnected if you wish to wash them separately. OTTY recommend washing the cover at a maximum temperature of 40ºC.

The design of using a pored cover alsohelps with airflowandheat dispersion.

OTTY Mattress Layers

1. Cool Blue Gel Memory Foam (3cm)

This top layer is a big deal, it is memory foam that has ablend of gel beads. This infusion helps with breathability and durability, as it won’t break down as quickly as foam. Plain memory foam has slow responsiveness and is known for retaining heat. The gel infusion increases responsiveness and helps with heat dispersion.

2. Transition Foam Layer (3cm)

This layer is self-explanatory. It ensures asmooth transitionbetween the cooling top layer and the spring layer beneath it. The foam used is polyfoam which is standard in the online mattress world.

3. Encapsulated Pocket Springs (14cm)

The full-sized pocket spring layer is what sets this mattress apart from its competitors. OTTY state that the king-size mattress will have 2000 pocket springs and smaller sizes will have less proportionally.

The springs are14cm in heightwhich is considerably taller than the micro-coils other online mattresses offer. The OTTY mattress is perfect for those individuals looking for more bounce in a mattress.

Encapsulated means the pocket springs are boxed in by support foam. The downside to pocket springs is the tendency to have a roll-off nature but by boxing them in this mitigates the effect and addsextra support on the sides.

4. Side Layer (17cm)

Here we have the side layer which is very unique, this keeps all the layers together and ensures enoughedge supportwhen you get out of bed or for those who like sleeping closer to the circumference of the mattress.

5. Base Layer (4cm)

Finally, this is the final layer which offers a base for the spring layer to sit on. This ensures the springs are not placed directly on the surface but also protected from beneath.

How Thick Is The OTTY Mattress?

The OTTY Hybrid mattress has atotal thickness of 25cm, this is the perfect depth for most bed frames. The mattress can also hold a maximum weight of22 stone or 138kg per person, this is based on two people sleeping on the bed.

Mattress Firmness

In this OTTY mattress review, we score it a7 out of 10 on our firmness scale. The firmness is no surprise, with its tall sturdy pocket springs, you will get a firmer mattress.

The OTTY mattress has a unique firmness feel, it is not a hard feeling mattress but rather apush back feelingmattress. We would recommend this mattress for those looking for a medium-firm mattress.

OTTY Mattress Design

Most of the online mattresses we have reviewed have the common grey, white and blue colour scheme. The only explanation is that the brands wanted to go for a neutral look that appeals to the majority of sleepers in the UK.

We have reviewed a few mattresses here in the UK and it’s always a pleasure to see a brand move away from the industry standard, thanks OTTY for thehint of green.

JUST NOT A GOOD MATTRESS OR SERVICE…
JUST NOT A GOOD MATTRESS OR SERVICE EXPERIENCE FOR ME.
I purchased the Otty and all was good with speedy delivery and ease of purchase etc.
After about a month my wife and I both found ourselves waking up to bad backs and aches and pains. I asked OTTY be email within the 100 day trial to return the mattress and then heard nothing. we bimbled along waking up aching and just put up with it. After another 12 months I realised that the OTTY had to go. I contacted OTTY and they said that they had never received an email from me. I searched and found the email sent within the trial period and sent it to an OTTY representative to show I had requested a return. When searching I found an email from OTTY in my junk telling me to contact returns. There was never any follow up from OTTY asking what was wrong or to try and appease my situation just get the impression they stay silent hoping the 100 days expire.
The reasons for my not following up at the time are many and too long winded to go into on here. My OTTY mattress has now developed slopes from the centre to the outside edge, almost have to cling on for dear life. Several emails to the OTTY representative and he just states “You did not return in trial period so sod off” or words to that effect.
There are plenty of good reviews on here so maybe their mattresses are good and I just got a faulty one? or maybe others like the slope and it helps them dream of the skiing holiday when they went of piste! All I can say is if you have an issue and need to return you will need to be onto them every day and record everything to ensure you get a return and refund. I was prepared to let them see if the mattress was faulty and replace if it was.
Simba or Emma may be a better choice who knows. I do know based on my experience I would warn anyone off purchasing from this company.

A seriously shocking delivery service from these people. Over-sold their stock, meaning they then could not deliver it to us, despite confirming a delivery slot (a four hour slot in the middle of the day), only to then cancel during the delivery slot because they realised they did not have the stock.

When delivery was eventually made they missed the four hour slot, meaning two full work days were wasted sitting at home waiting for the delivery.

Topped off by an aggressive phone call from management when I made a complaint.

In other words: only purchase their products if you are unemployed/retired/work from home. Somehow, the certainty (and manners) that Amazon, Ocado and every other online supplier can provide has escaped these people.

You say the matress is medium firm, I am used to a firm matress will this do or do you do a more firm one

Thanks for your comment. Well, the OTTY mattress is on the firmer side of medium-firm but this, of course, depends on a few factors as weight etc. The full-sized springs do give it that extra push-back and firmness. However, if you are looking for a pretty firm mattress we would recommend you look at our REM-Fit 500 Ortho mattress review as that is probably the firmest mattress we have reviewed.

Just remember you can always try the mattress within the trial and see if it’s a right fit for you 🙂

Best of luck and if you have any more questions we will gladly help.
